I am a 38 year old artist and aspiring writer. For years, I worked on a series of paintings entitled ‘The Confidence Man’. It is basically a visual novel with lots of characters and story arcs. Currently, there are around 60 of them. It’s not the only series I’ve ever done. God knows there are more. The one common thread throughout them all has been my desire to tell a story. So at the beginning of 2010, I began to write. It’s been sporadic and slapdash, but I think I’ve discovered another form of expression for my work. Someday I might even be good at it. My wife and I have lived in Santa Fe, NM for a little over ten years, but we will be returning to our native Texas soon. Fun fact: on February 12, 2011 I ran my first 5K after having lost 85 lbs. over the past two years. In March I ran a 10K.
